Spectrum Child Health administers four Child Health Research Institute (CHRI) Trainee and Grant Support funding programs to facilitate and support the best child-health focused research at Stanford.

CHRI Trainee Support

Administered annually, this program supports medical (MD or equivalent) doctoral research fellows.  Sponsored by the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health through donor-driven endowments, each award is $35,000 up to full salary support. More »

CHRI Grant (Early Career, New Idea, and Bridge Funding) and Postdoctoral Support

Administered semi-annually, this program supports clinical and translational research in child health.  Sponsored by the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health, each award is up to $35,000. More »

CHRI Innovations in Patient Care

Administered annually, this program supports innovative research focused on improved patient quality-of-care at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital.  Sponsored by the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health, each award is up to $25,000. More »

CHRI Heart Center Research Program

Administered semi-annually, this program supports research conducted by the members of the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Children’s Heart Center.  Sponsored by the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, each award is up to $35,000. More »

Scientific Advisory

All applicants receive reviewer comments regardless of award. Prior to submission or resubmission, applicants to any CHRI funding program may request a meeting with a reviewer for scientific and protocol development advice. More »
